Lagging? Bummer. But I'd say that was not related to Lightroom, not directly.You could be overshooting what your machine can handle.
My D800 puts out these stupid big 7.4x5k pixel images, 37MP, almost 50M file size, and I can tweak and whack them instantaneously in the Develop room.
LR5+, MacOS 10.10.1, beefy MacPro.
