Rename image sequence on import

Hello,

Is it possible to rename an image sequence when using a script to import? For example:

File names: image1, image2, image3

Parent folder (test shot)

I got these to be imported as a sequence into AE as footage using a script, and the footage comes in named "image[1-3]".

I would like to be able to make the script rename the footage on import to be the parent folder name (so "test shot").

I have looked at importOptions but i dont see anything that will allow me to define a new name. Anyone know how i can do this?
