I wanted to add that although this discussion seems more for MAC systems; it is definitely a Windows/PC issue also…. I have been plagued with this issue at least 1+ years and the only way I have been able to get anything done is that most of the source clips I have been using were CineForm 10bit. We are now putting (many) 1920X1280 QuickTime clips on the timeline and I can’t get several minutes into anything before I freeze-up or crash. I am experiencing all of the issues stated on this (and other) forums pertaining to Adobe’s QT 32 server’s handling or management issue of QuickTime… I don’t have any other software’s/codec’s loaded like Xvid or Real (although I do have FileMaker) and I don’t have any problems with CineForm, AVI’s or generic Mp4’s. What else should I do or try on a PC? Does anyone know of any other sources where this problem is addressed? Thank you for any help!
