Premiere Pro CS6 creating weird colours in video

So I am editing this video of my sister riding her bike, just to test out the capabilities of my new camera (Nikon D5100, if it helps). I reviewed all the footage I shot in VLC before importing it to premiere, no issues. Everything is good. As soon as I import the video into premiere, these weird colours start showing up on my video:vlcsnap-2014-12-31-23h06m40s177.png

Now when I go to the exact same spot in the unaltered video, it looks like this:

So I think, "right, no big deal. I just ignore them and export and everything is good."

Wrong.

The first image above was taken from the exported copy. I really have no clue what is going on. I am running PP CS6 with the latest updates as of Decemeber 31st, 2014 (in case you are wondering, it is a completely legal copy, so it's not some Pirate Bay glitch). I have never had any issues with the program before- this just started today.

Also, the video specs are: 1080p (1920x1080) @ 29.97fps, taken on, as mentioned above, a brand-new Nikon D5100.

Anyone know what is going on? Thanks!
