Lilybiri you understand exactly what I was asking. I indeed needed a variable to be used with cpCmndGotoSlide. techPerceptor - I can't use the jump because it makes me select a specific slide and I need it to be more flexible than that.
I did more work on it tonight and it seems to be working - as long as I preview as a whole project. I would have thought it would just go to the wrong slide if I previewed from a certain slide, but instead it just seems to ignore the command and go to the next slide instead of going backwards through the deck. I will have to be careful with that in the future. Thanks for your help.
