error 150:30

I recently upgraded an older MacMini to Yosemite. Now the legitimate copy of Elements 8 will not start because of that error. The instructions on the web site for fixing this do not work.

I do not know if I have the original discs but I am sure deleting and reinstalling will not work because then Adobe will say the software has been activated too many times--been there, done that with multiple generations of Photoshop and Elements, Windows and OS X.

As usual Adobe refuses to provide direct help (already tried) for DRM issues on older software.

Short of a class action lawsuit against Adobe for denying legitimate purchasers access to their "software license" is there a  solution?
